Wofford earns a school record 15th win

Wofford 4, Samford 3
With the match tied at 3-3, the Wofford women's tennis team came up with a three-set win by Chloe Elliott at #6 singles to clinch a 4-3 win over Samford on the indoor courts at the Pat M. Courington Tennis Pavillion. The Bulldogs won the doubles point, but the Terriers won four of the six singles matches for the win. The victory gives the team 15 wins on the season, the most in school history.

The Samford women's tennis team fell at home to the Wofford Terriers, 4-3, Sunday afternoon at the Samford Tennis Center. With the loss, Samford fell to 9-11 overall and 1-4 in Southern Conference play. Wofford improved its record to 15-2 overall and 4-1 in league play. Samford won on the No. 1 and No. 3 doubles courts to take the doubles point. At No. 1 doubles, Emily Surcey and Sara Erenda defeated Breda Brennan and Lily Woods, 6-3. On the No.3 doubles court, Eleni Liakonis and Meredith Taylor defeated Brianna Wilbur and Chloe Elliott, 6-2.

Furman 6, Chattanooga 1
 No. 39 Furman remained unbeaten in Southern Conference play with a 6-1 victory over Chattanooga at Strang-Voges Tennis Center on Sunday. With the win, the Paladins improve to 16-3 overall and 5-0 in league play, while Chattanooga moves to 10-10  overall and 1-5 in the SoCon. Furman won a hard-fought doubles point to start the match. In singles action, the Paladins won five of six matches, claiming three in straight sets.
