Sunday's Women's Tennis Roundup

ETSU 6, Samford
The ETSU women's tennis team notched its second straight road win on Sunday as it defeated Samford by a score of 6-1. Sunday's victory boosts ETSU's record to 9-7 overall and 3-0 in SoCon play. The beginning of Sunday's match belonged to the Bulldogs as they won all three doubles matches by scores of 7-5, 6-0 and 6-2. Samford's momentum, however, was short lived as the Bucs won all six singles matches to cruise past the Bulldogs. ETSU has now won 12 straight matches against Samford dating back to 2015.

The Samford women's tennis team dropped a 6-1 decision to ETSU Sunday afternoon at the Samford Tennis Center. With the loss, Samford fell to 9-9 overall and 1-2 in Southern Conference play. ETSU improved its record to 9-7 overall and 3-0 in league play. Samford swept the three doubles matches to take an early 1-0 lead. At No. 1 doubles, Emily Surcey and Sara Erenda defeated Daniela Rivera and Alessandra Caceres, 7-5. On the No. 2 doubles court, Margaret Jaraczewski and Grace Keller earned a 6-0 win over Jana Rovira and Julia Millan. At No. 3 doubles, Eleni Liakonis and Meredith Taylor defeated Ralitsa Alexandrova and Ksenija Rage, 6-2.
