The ETSU women's tennis team tallied its first win of the season on Wednesday as it downed Appalachian State by a score of 4-3. With Wednesday's victory, the Buccaneers improve to 1-3 in 2025. ETSU won the first doubles match of the day from No. 1 position as Daniela Rivera and Alessandra Caceres came away with a 6-3 win. However, the Mountaineers battled back to win the other two doubles tilts (6-2, 7-5) to secure that point.
Wofford 7, Emmanuel 0
On Saturday, the Wofford College women's tennis team picked up sweeps of Emmanuel and Converse at the Reeves Tennis Center. Wofford won both matches by a 7-0 score. In the first match, the Terriers #3 doubles team of Catherine Blouin and Quinn Bernthal had a 6-1 win. Breda Brennan and Emma Sorensen added a 6-0 win at the #2 position to clinch the doubles point. Grace Agster and Lily Woods completed the sweep with a 6-1 win at the #1 position.
Mercer 4, Troy 3
Jelena Gojkovic clinched the deciding match for Mercer who won its first match of the season on Saturday afternoon, defeating Troy, 4-3 from LeRoy Peddy Tennis Center. The morning got started with doubles matches where Troy's Leena Metwally and Hagar Ramadan-Amin defeated Ines Hömberg and Marina de Diego Quinones, 6-2. The Trojans won the doubles point after Valeriia Avdeeva and Maria Guirguis defeated Mercer's Tea Zivic and Emilia Cosatto, 6-2.
Furman 4, JMU 0
Furman blanked James Madison, 4-0, Saturday at the Wake Forest Indoor Tennis Center in Winston-Salem, N.C. The Paladins won matches at flights one and three doubles to claim the first point. Seniors Ellie Schulson and Sara Snyder beat Sophie Williams and Ines Oliveira, 6-4, at number one, and seniors Grace Thomas and Alexa Griffith posted a 6-3 victory over Hope Moulin and Daria Munteanu at number three.
Chattanooga 7, Eastern Kentucky 0
The Chattanooga Mocs women's tennis team cruised to a 7-0 shutout over Eastern Kentucky during non-conference action on Saturday afternoon outside at the UTC Tennis Center on campus. Chattanooga (3-4) has now won back-to-back matches following today's win over EKU (4-7). The Mocs swept all six singles matches after claiming the doubles point with wins at No. 2 and No. 3 with the latter tandem of Emma Pedretti and Margaret Manolache providing the clinching moment with a 6-3 win.

The second match began with Chloe Elliott and Brianna Wilbur earning a 6-0 at the #3 position. Breda Brennan and Emma Sorensen claimed a 6-0 win at #2 doubles to clinch the point. Grace Agster and Lily Woods had a 6-1 victory to sweep doubles. In singles, Catherine Blouin started things with a 6-1, 6-0 win at the #4 position.

UNC Asheville 6, UNCG 1
The UNC Greensboro (UNCG) women's tennis team fell in a 6-1 matchup with the Bulldogs of UNC Asheville on Saturday at the UNCG Tennis Courts. The Bulldogs got on the board first by gaining the doubles point. Elizabeth Tindera and Valeria Centeno secured the first contest of the day in a 6-2 win over Lauren Thomson and Luna Urso on court three. In singles, Samford earned wins at No. 1, No. 2, No. 3, No. 4 and No. 6 to close out the 6-1 win. At No. 1 singles, Surcey defeated Zholdakova, 6-1, 2-6, 10-3. On the No. 2 singles court, Jaraczewski earned a 4-6, 6-2, 10-5 win over Kliimand.
Samford 6, Belmont 1
The Samford women's tennis team earned a 6-1 win over the Belmont Bruins Saturday afternoon at the Samford Tennis Center. With the win, Samford improved to 5-2 on the season. Belmont fell to 1-1 with the loss. Samford swept all three doubles matches to pick up the first point of the match.
