Friday's Women's Tennis Roundup

No. 62 ETSU 7, Radford 0
The No. 62 ETSU women's tennis team continued its stellar play on Friday as it shut out Radford by a score of 7-0. With Friday's win, the Buccaneers improve to 6-4 overall and they have won five of their last six matches. ETSU jumped on the Highlanders right from the start. The Bucs won the doubles point by winning 6-1 and 6-3 in the first two matches. ETSU's dominance continued in singles as it won all six tilts. Daniela Rivera's 6-2, 6-2 win in the No. 1 slot clinched the win for the Bucs. It was ETSU's first shutout win in 2025 and first since defeating UNC Greensboro 4-0 in last year's SoCon Tournament.

UNC Asheville 4, Western Carolina 3

Troy 4, Samford 2
The Samford women's tennis team dropped a 4-2 decision to in-state rival Troy Friday at the Samford Tennis Center. With the loss, Samford fell to 7-4 on the season. Troy improved its record to 4-4 with the win. In doubles, Samford won on the No. 2 and No. 3 courts to take a 1-0 lead. At No. 2 doubles, Margaret Jaraczewski and Hailey Troup defeated Veena Nazar and Emilia Namyslo, 6-1. On the No. 3 doubles court, Eleni Liakonis and Meredith Taylor defeated Leena Metwally and Hagar Ramadan-Amin, 6-1. In singles, Samford won at No. 6, with Troup defeating Nazar, 6-2, 6-1. Troy won at No. 1, No. 2, No. 3 and No. 4 to take the 4-2 win.
