All five App State Wrestling entries at the Southern Scuffle won at least one match, highlighted by a top-16 finish from Jeremiah Price at 157 pounds.

Bellarmine's Mayer, Rallo earn podium finishes at Southern Scuffle

Senior Daulton Mayer and redshirt freshman AJ Rallo earned podium finishes for the Bellarmine University wrestling team as the Knights competed in their final tournament of the season at the Southern Scuffle. Mayer (285) placed eighth while Rallo (141) finished seventh to lead a group of 21 Knights competing in the event with a field full of tough competition.

Army Wins Team Title, 4 Chattanooga Mocs Place at the Southern Scuffle

Army claimed the team title at the Southern Scuffle presented by Compound Sportswear. The Chattanooga Mocs Sergio Desiante, the champion at 174, was named Most Outstanding Wrestler. He led four Mocs to the podium for the weekend.

Molton’s third place finish highlights weekend at Southern Scuffle (Campbell)

Anthony Molton took home third place, and Shannon Hanna and Wynton Denkins each took fourth, as Campbell wrestling finished competition at the Southern Scuffle. In addition, Dom Baker finished in seventh place and Levi Hopkins finished in fifth on Sunday evening at the conclusion of the two-day event.

Davidson's McKnight and Sherlock Place to Wrap Up Southern Scuffle

Tyler-Xavier McKnight and Tyson Sherlock were the first Wildcats to place at the Southern Scuffle after capturing sixth and eight place finishes respectively. Since 2003, Davidson has competed at the Scuffle seven times and have never had a place winner. That narrative changed on Sunday after McKnight went 5-3 to finish sixth.

Gardner-Webb's Davis, Jacome and McCutchen Lead Wrestling at Chattanooga Southern Scuffle

The Gardner-Webb University wrestling team competed in the Southern Scuffle at UT-Chattanooga over the weekend of January 4th and 5th, placing 17th in the event as a team while a trio of Runnin' Bulldogs scored top-eight individual finishes.
