Samford Women’s Golf Falls To High Point On Final Day Of Oyster Shuck Match Play
The Samford women's golf team fell to High Point, 3-2, in the championship match of the Oyster Shuck Match Play, hosted by The Citadel Tuesday at the Charleston Municipal Golf Course. Samford's two wins in the match came from Anika Richards and Gabi Nicastro, who both went 3-0 in the two-day tournament. Richards defeated Ella Perna, 2+0, while Nicastro defeated Amber Matlega, 3+1.
The Citadel Women's Golf Clinches Eighth to Open Spring Competition at Oyster Shuck Match Play
The Citadel women's golf team closed out the program's annual hosting of Oyster Shuck Match Play in the usual spring competition tee off Tuesday afternoon, dropping team-on-team clashes against High Point, North Dakota and Presbyterian en route to eighth overall across the 54-hole, two-day tournament at the Charleston Municipal Golf Course.
McIlvaine Ties for Sixth, UNCG Women’s Golf Finishes Seventh at Advance Golf Partners Collegiate
The UNC Greensboro (UNCG) women's golf team finished seventh on Tuesday at the Advance Golf Partners Collegiate in Palm City, Florida, hosted by UNCG. Sophomore Kasey McIlvaine led the Spartans and tied for sixth on the player leaderboard at one-over-par (217) after posting rounds of 73-69-75 on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday.
ETSU notches podium finish at AGCP Invitational
East Tennessee State University women's golf used a surge from freshman transfer McKenzie Hauk to finish third at the ACGP/UNCG Invitational on Tuesday. Hauk shot a Day 3-best 5-under round, with five birdies and no bogeys to jump 28 places to No. 10 overall. Sophomore Brianna Castaldi tied her teammate for 10th after carding a 2-over on Tuesday and redshirt sophomore Syndey Harz had the best round of her season, finishing 1-under for the day. Senior Alex Crafton closed ETSU out with a 5-over round and finished 18th individually.
