The UNC Greensboro (UNCG) softball team extended its win streak to seven with victories over Saint Francis, 7-2, and Toledo, 16-14, on Sunday at the UNCG Softball Stadium to conclude the Spiro Classic.
With the 7-2 win over Saint Francis, Head Coach Janelle Breneman, who is the winningest softball coach in UNCG's history, reached 400 wins at the helm of the Spartans.The Samford softball team returned to play at home today for a single game against Indiana State as they wrapped up play at the Samford Tournament. The Bulldogs finished off a perfect weekend as they had a comeback win over the Sycamores 4-3. The fifth-straight win for the Bulldogs takes their record to 6-2 on the year. Senior infielder Olivia Lipari drove in four of Chattanooga's runs in a 5-3 win over Lindenwood Sunday afternoon in the final game of the Chattanooga Challenge at Frost Stadium.
Lipari went 2-for-2 with a double and four RBIs to lead the Mocs. Kailey Snell went 3-for-3 on the day and scored three runs. Cam Cernuto was 1-for-2 with a pair of walks. Alyssa Lavdis went the distance for UTC picking up her first win of the season.

Western Carolina softball closed out a challenging Red & Black Showcase on the wrong end of a 9-1 loss to Big Ten foe Michigan State in six innings before dropping a 12-6 decision to #10/11 Georgia out of the SEC with both meetings held at Jack Turner Stadium.
Freshman AG Batson reached base three times with a double on Sunday between the two games to go along with a pair of walks. Batson was also strong in the circle against the nationally ranked Bulldogs, tossing three shutout innings with three strikeouts.
The Wofford softball team (7-3) finished the final game of the Hatter Classic with a 3-0 win over Fairfield at Patricia Wilson Field. The Terriers were led by pitcher Margaret Axelson and an early offensive outburst to coast to the 3-0 victory.
