Sunday's Men's Tennis Roundup

Mercer 7, UNCG 0
Mercer won a pair of doubles matches to grab the early team point, then steamrolled their way through singles competition on the way to a 7-0 blanking of visiting UNC Greensboro on Sunday afternoon at the LeRoy Peddy Tennis Center. It was the sixth-straight win for the Bears (10-6, 5-0 SoCon) who posted their first shutout of a conference opponent since a 7-0 rout at The Citadel on April 7, 2021. It was the third loss in the last four contests for the Spartans (8-12, 2-4) who fell to 0-9 away from Greensboro this season and 0-7 all-time in Macon.

The UNC Greensboro (UNCG) men's tennis team fell 7-0 while taking on the Mercer Bears in The Southern Conference (SoCon) action on Sunday at LeRoy Peddy Tennis Center. Mercer earned the first point by winning two out of three in doubles. It started with Marceau Fouilhoux and Nemanja Stefanovic winning 6-2 over William Elmers and Luke Thomson. UNCG's Andrew Black and Devon Moskowitz then defeated Howell Burns and Esteban Gasser, 6-4, to force the need for a third doubles match. Mercer took a 1-0 lead in the dual via the doubles point once Prince Gandonou and Isak Padio won 6-4 over John Gabelic and Tymofiy Khrystyuk.
