Men’s Tennis Splits Saturday Doubleheader with Belmont Abbey
The UNC Greensboro (UNCG) men's tennis team split a doubleheader against the Belmont Abbey Crusaders, falling 4-3 before winning 7-0, on Saturday afternoon at the UNCG Tennis Courts. The Crusaders picked up the first point in doubles by winning the first and third doubles matches. The Spartans dominated the second match. 

Furman 4, Queens 2
The Furman men's tennis team recorded its third road victory of the season Saturday afternoon with a 4-2 triumph over the Queens (N.C.) Royals in non-conference action from the Howard Levine Tennis Center. Furman improves to 3-4 on the season while Queens (N.C.) drops to 2-5 overall. For the fourth straight match, the Paladins captured the doubles point after picking up a pair of 6-4 victories at No. 1 and No. 3.

Chattanooga 5, Georgia Southern 2
The Chattanooga Mocs men's tennis team posted a 5-2 victory over nationally ranked No. 75 Georgia Southern in non-conference action on Saturday afternoon outdoors at the UTC Tennis Center on campus. Chattanooga (6-5) has now won five-straight matches and improves to 6-1 at home this season after the upset win over Georgia Southern (6-5). The win over the Georgia Southern program is the second for the Mocs in the past three seasons and also marks the first ranked win on record (unconfirmed) in UTC program history (DI era).

Georgia State 5, Mercer 2
Newcomer Shingo Masuda rebounded from an opening-set loss to Brian Capalnean to win a three-set thriller, but Georgia State captured the early doubles point, as well as a trio of singles matches in straight sets, to top visiting Mercer, 5-2, on Saturday at the Sharon Lester Tennis Center. It was just the second loss in the last four outings for the Bears (2-4) who will open up a two-match home stand on Sunday when they take on North Florida at the LeRoy Peddy Tennis Center. Georgia State (3-5) improved to 8-0 all-time in the series with the Orange & Black, and have now won consecutive matches for the first time this season.

Samford 6, Tennessee State

The Samford men's tennis team ran its win streak to nine-straight matches with a 6-1 win over Tennessee State Saturday afternoon at the Samford Tennis Center. With the win, Samford improved its record to 9-2. Tennessee State fell to 0-5 with the loss. In doubles, Samford won on the No. 1 and No. 2 courts to pick up the first point of the match.
