Samford 7, Wofford 0
The Samford men's tennis team earned a 7-0 win at Wofford Sunday afternoon. With the win, Samford improved its record to 11-4 overall and 2-0 in Southern Conference play. Wofford fell to 4-6 overall and 0-1 in league play. Samford swept the three doubles matches to take an early 1-0 lead.
On Sunday afternoon, the Wofford College men's tennis team was defeated 7-0 by Samford at the Reeves Tennis Center. The Bulldogs earned the doubles point and won all six singles matches to secure the SoCon victory. The Bulldogs took the doubles point with a 6-0 win at the #2 position and a 6-1 win at the #3 position. The #1 doubles match for Robbie Young and Jack Deveney was tied at 6-6 before the Samford duo took the tiebreaker by a 7-2 score.
North Alabama 6, Chattanooga 1
The Chattanooga Mocs men's tennis team dropped a 6-1 decision at non-conference opponent North Alabama on Sunday afternoon in Florence, Ala. Chattanooga dropped to 8-7 on the season after the defeat and North Alabama improved to 7-3 after the win. The Mocs have now dropped consecutive matches to the Lions after winning the first 10 matches in the all-time series.
