Tuesday's Men's Tennis Roundup

ETSU 6, Tennessee Tech 1
The ETSU men's tennis team earned its fourth consecutive win as it defeated Tennessee Tech by a score of 6-1 on Tuesday. Tuesday's victory boosts ETSU's record to 5-4 this spring. The Bucs started Tuesday's contest with 6-4 and 6-1 wins from their top two doubles pairings. ETSU kept things rolling in singles by winning five of the six matchups. Pedro Cressoni's 6-1, 6-3 win in the No. 3 position clinched the match for ETSU. With the win, the Bucs improve to 7-0 all-time against Tennessee Tech.

FGCU 5, Furman 2
The Furman men's tennis team dropped a 5-2 non-conference decision to the Florida Gulf Coast Eagles Tuesday at the FGCU Tennis Complex. Furman drops to 5-6 on the season while Florida Gulf Coast improves to 4-10 overall. The Paladins clinched the doubles point for the third consecutive match after claiming two out of the three matches. The Eagles opened by winning at No. 1 before Walker Allen and Sam Fancutt won their second straight match at No. 3 with a 6-4 triumph over Stavros Hadjivarnava and Harry Michalowski. Nicolas Dispas and Nico Snyder secured the point for Furman with their team leading seventh victory of the year after rallying from behind to defeat Christopher Smith and Guglielmo Stefanacci, 7-5.
