Mercer’s Nemanja Stefanovic named SoCon player of the week
Junior registered a perfect 6-0 record at the FAU Hidden Duals Tournament
SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Mercer’s Nemanja Stefanovic has been named the Southern Conference Men’s Tennis Player of the Week for all competition from Jan. 10-13. The selection is made by the league office.
A junior, Stefanovic went 6-0 at the FAU Hidden Duals Tournament last weekend with three singles and three doubles wins. The Oakville, Ontario, Canada, native posted straight set wins against Wisconsin’s Michael Minasyan and Army’s Alan Ton, then knocked off FAU’s John Bernard in a 10-4 superset. In doubles, Stefanovic and his partner Marceau Fouilhoux won matchups against Wisconsin, Army, and FAU.
Mercer will travel to Auburn on Friday then to Georgia for a Saturday matchup.
