Furman's Knight & Kempney Win Events At Asheville Bulldog Invite
Junior Colton Kempney and sophomore Chris Knight won the men's 3,000m Steeplechase and 1,500m, respectively, to lead the Furman track and field teams Friday at the Asheville Bulldog Invite at the Karl Straus Track in Asheville, N.C., while junior Jenna Mulhern and senior Nicole Matysik posted strong finishes to pace the Paladin women at the at the Duke Invitational at Morris Williams Stadium in Durham, N.C.

Catamount Track & Field Battles Weather at UNCA Invite
Neither rain nor wind nor unseasonably cool temperatures could keep the Western Carolina track and field teams from putting on a show Friday on the first day of the UNC Asheville Invitational. The Catamounts earned three event wins thanks to the efforts from CJ McFerrin, Peyton Skoglund, and Katherine Hopkins while collecting a combined 15 top-five finishes despite dreary conditions throughout the day at UNCA's Karl Straus Track.
Chattanooga's Lesley Boyd Breaks School Record at Lee Friday
The Dayton, Tenn., native bested her previous best time by more than 37 seconds and topped the program's top time held since 2014 by Teghan Henderson [16:13.03], by just over three seconds. She placed second overall with a time of 16:09.46, edged out by Georgia Tech's Kate Jortberg.
