ETSU’s Bressum named SoCon men’s golfer of the week

SPARTANBURG, S.C. – ETSU’s Kristian Bressum has been selected as the Southern Conference Men’s Golfer of the Week for all competition from Feb. 26-March 4. The selection is made by the league office.
 
Bressum, who won the honor for the third time this season, finished as the runner-up at the Colleton River Collegiate in Bluffton, South Carolina, which wrapped play on Monday. The senior posted rounds of 69-71-73 for a tournament score of 213 (-3). The native of Randers, Denmark, finished the event second in par-4 scoring (3.97) and tied for third in birdies (13). Bressum was one of just five golfers in the field to finish under par for the tournament.

ETSU finished eighth in the 16-team, 80-golfer field, with a tournament score of 892. The Buccaneers shot 288 in the first round, 300 in the second round and 304 in the final round.

The Buccaneers will play their next tournament at General Hackler Championship in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, on March 16-18.
