In challenging conditions, the ETSU men's golf team shot a 7-over par 295 in the first round of the General James Hackler Championship at The Dunes Golf & Beach Club on Sunday.After teeing off on the 10th hole, Kristian Bressum was bogey-free and 3-under on the back nine before a double-bogey on the par-four 1st knocked him backward. He recovered to finish the day even-par, tied for 24th.

The Mercer men's golf team completed day one of the Linger Longer Invitational on Sunday, shooting five-over as a team to move into a tie for 11th place. Henry Robards carded the low round of the day for the Bears with a one-under 71.Robards made six birdies on the day and sits in a tie for 24th on the individual leaderboard. Trey Mixon finished one stroke behind Robards with a 72, while Nathan Trodd, J.T. Herman and Jacob Uyesato rounded out the Mercer lineup. Two Bears, Ryan Curran and Cole Hanson, competed as individuals and carded 74 and 78, respectively.
