Seymour leads ETSU past VMI
ETSU snapped VMI's two-game win streak on Wednesday evening, handing the Keydets a 62-55 loss at Cameron Hall. The Buccaneers went into halftime with a 13-point lead. Despite being outscored 29-23 in the second half, they were able to fend off VMI and hold on for the win.
Jaden Seymour continued a strong season for ETSU with 18 points and 10 rebounds. Seymour's performance was his sixth double-double of the season.
VMI was led by TJ Johnson, who scored 15 points while collecting nine boards.
Wieland, Chattanooga beat SoCon foe Wofford
Chattanooga recorded its fourth straight win, handing Wofford a 79-70 loss at Jerry Richardson Indoor Stadium on Wednesday evening. The Terriers went into halftime with a 37-35 lead, but were unable to hang on, as they were outscored by 11 points in the second half.
Bash Wieland was efficient on offense, contributing 20 points on 7-of-10 shooting from the field to lead the way for Chattanooga.
The offense was effective for the Terriers despite the loss. They scored their 70 points on 41% shooting from the field.
Polite III's season-high 22 points lead UNC Greensboro past The Citadel
UNC Greensboro defeated The Citadel, 76-61, at McAlister Field House on Wednesday evening. The Spartans went into the break leading by two points, and then outscored the Bulldogs 42-29 over the final 20 minutes to secure the win.
Ronald Polite III had 22 points on 10-of-13 shooting from the field to lead the way for UNC Greensboro.
Anderson's season-high 30 points lead Furman past Western Carolina in overtime thriller
Furman defeated Western Carolina on Wednesday evening in a dynamic 84-75 overtime affair. The Paladins went into halftime trailing Western Carolina 33-31 but were able to tie things in the final 10 seconds of regulation. Momentum was on the Paladins' side, as they outscored the Catamounts 18-9 in overtime.
Nick Anderson scored 30 points to lead the way for Furman.
Marcus Kell recorded 29 points and eight rebounds to lead the way for Western Carolina.
Jones, Samford continue to win, add Mercer to list of SoCon victories
Samford blew past Mercer in a 100-79 rout on Wednesday evening. The Bulldogs started fast, accumulating a 10-point lead into the break. They did not let up in the second half, increasing their lead to as large as 26 points.
Rylan Jones scored 23 points to lead the way for Samford.
The Bears were led by Tyler Johnson who put up 26 points.
