Late offensive spark helps Keydets win at Ohio
VMI Baseball rebounded with a massive victory on Saturday at Bob Wren Stadium to even the series. The Keydets (22-14, 4-5 SoCon) plated 11 runs in the final four innings to roll past the Bobcats, 13-6. Four Keydets had a multi-hit outing, with three also having multiple RBIs, to lift VMI to its 20th double-digit run game.

Pitching powers Bucs to a 3-1 win over Western Carolina
The ETSU baseball team clinched a series victory against Western Carolina on Saturday with a 3-1 win over the Catamounts at Thomas Stadium. With Saturday's win, the Bucs improve to 24-9 overall and 5-3 in SoCon action. For the second time in eight conference games, the Buccaneer pitching staff held the opposing lineup to one run. Jace Hyde tossed the first five innings for the Blue and Gold allowing one run on four hits to go with four strikeouts. Sophomore Brady Frederick came in to relieve Hyde and finished the game. Frederick threw the final four innings and surrendered just two hits and struck out four to notch his first career save in preserving ETSU's 3-1 win.

Western Carolina's Corn Collects Three Hits, Revis Fans Seven in Saturday Loss
Brayden Corn doubled as part of collecting a team-high three hits, and Dusty Revis struck out seven over a seven-inning start on Saturday, but the Catamounts were unable to solve the East Tennessee State pitching staff in dropping game two of its Southern Conference series 3-1 at Thomas Stadium. The series concludes on Sunday with a 1 p.m. first pitch in eastern Tennessee. The game will be broadcast on ESPN+ (paid subscription required), and live stats will be available online through links at CatamountSports.com.

Bulldogs Comeback Against Samford to Win 4-3
The Citadel scored two runs in the top of the ninth inning to win against Samford 4-3 to even the series on Saturday afternoon. Garrett Fulmer led the Bulldogs at the plate, going 2-for-4. TJ Anderson recorded his sixth double and 14th RBI of the season. George Derrick Floyd (3-1) recorded the win after a stellar performance for The Citadel, throwing a career-high 8.0 innings with four strikeouts and three earned runs.

Late Runs Doom Bulldogs In 4-3 Loss To The Citadel
The Samford University baseball team entered the ninth inning with a one-run lead, but fell to The Citadel, 4-3, in the second game of a three-game series Saturday afternoon at Joe Lee Griffin Field. With the loss, Samford fell to 19-16 overall and 5-3 in Southern Conference play. The Citadel improved to 19-16 overall and 4-4 in league play. Samford was led in the loss by Michael Gupton, who drove in two runs with a home run in a 1-for-3 performance at the plate. Jeffrey Ince went 2-for-4 for Samford, while Jake Souders drove in a run, going 1-for-3 in the game.

Wofford Baseball Loses Both Ends of Twin Bill at UNCG
Early first-inning deficits proved costly twice for the Wofford baseball team Saturday afternoon at UNCG Baseball Stadium as the Terriers fell in both legs of a doubleheader to the Spartans. Game one was a 9-2 result with the second an 11-1 affair in seven innings. The Terriers are now 22-14 (2-6 SoCon) as the Spartans improve to 16-18 (6-2 SoCon).

Mercer's Ninth Inning Rally Comes Up Short In Loss To Charleston Southern
The Mercer baseball team put up a ninth inning rally but came up just short, falling to Charleston Southern by a score of 9-6 on Saturday at OrthoGeorgia Park. Brant Baughcum (3-for-4), Drew Johnson (2-for-5) and Eli Stephens (2-for-3) all had multi-hit efforts, while Zack Thompson (1-for-3) homered to lead the Bears offensively. Parks Ledwell (1-2) got the win for the Bucs, while Jeb Johnson (3-2) took the loss for Mercer.
