Baseball Opens Series at ETSU with 7-5 Win
The Wofford baseball team claimed an early lead Friday evening at Thomas Stadium over the ETSU Buccaneers and rode a strong start from Alec Bouchard and strong finish by Carter Rasmussen to a 7-5 triumph. The Terriers move to 29-22 (6-10 SoCon) as the Bucs drop to 35-13 (11-5 SoCon). Three pitchers toed the rubber for Wofford as Alec Bouchard (3-1) earned the victory as the starter. 

ETSU drops series opener to Wofford, 7-5
Lenny Montesano drove in four of ETSU's five runs in the contest. Three of the four came on a three-run homer and then he drove in another run with a groundout. Blake Jacklin also homered in a 2-for-5 effort at the plate. Tristan Curless and Jamie Palmese both had two hits as well, while Grant Gallagher reached base four times via a walk. With the four free passes on Friday, Gallagher became ETSU's new single-season walk leader with 52 passing the previous record of 51 by Paul Hoilman (2010) and Nick Iannantone (2024).|

Offensive Attack, Revis Propel Catamounts Past The Citadel
Six Catamounts collected multi-hit games as Western Carolina rode a quintet of two-run innings to upend The Citadel 11-4 in Friday evening's Southern Conference series opener at Childress Field / Hennon Stadium. The Catamounts pounded out 14 base hits, including three for extra bases, with home runs by Brayden Corn and Trey Spees to take the series lead and extend their current series win streak to five straight.

Hausner Homers in Series Opener Against Western Carolina
Anthony Hausner hit a three-run home run in an 11-4 loss against Western Carolina on Friday night. Anthony Hausner hit his first home run of the season, a three-run shot to right center field, marking the eighth of his career. Matthew Lively recorded his 15 RBI on the season. Dusty Revis (5-5) earned the victory for the Catamounts after pitching seven innings, striking out eight while allowing one earned run. George Derrick Floyd (4-3) recorded the loss for The Citadel after throwing 5.1 innings, achieving six strikeouts and allowing seven earned runs.

Samford Baseball Sweeps Doubleheader From UNC Greensboro
 The Samford University baseball team swept a Southern Conference doubleheader from UNC Greensboro Friday at Joe Lee Griffin Field. The Bulldogs won the first game, 14-2 in seven innings and then took game two, 12-2 in seven innings. With the sweep, Samford now has a record of 26-23 overall and 11-6 in Southern Conference play. UNCG fell to 19-29 overall and 8-9 in league play.

Samford Takes Twin Bill From Baseball in Birmingham
The UNC Greensboro (UNCG) baseball team was swept in a doubleheader, 14-2 and 12-2 in seven innings both games, by the Samford Bulldogs on Friday in The Southern Conference (SoCon) action at Joe Lee Griffin Field.
